Tetsuko Does Hero Curls

I'd almost forgotten that I did this. I found it on my hard drive as I was cleaning out some old files I didn't need any more. It was originally created to celebrate my 500,000 pageview on deviantART; once again, though, my ambitions got the better of me:

I had intended this to be a longer animation. After a few reps, our view would move out to a long shot that would reveal that Tetsuko is standing on a tall platform. The chains would be attached to tall stacks of huge iron plates 20 feet tall (why she'd be standing on the tall platform); she'd be curling some 20 tons with each arm!

Unfortunately, problems of scale became apparent. The range of motion the pulleys travel is only about a foot (maybe a foot and a half), which means the 20-foot weight stacks get lifted only that far off the ground. Not as impressive a visual as I'd hoped for.

However, when I came across this in my archives, I decided (since this sequence was largely finished) that I'd go ahead and clean up some of the art, tweak the movement a bit, and share it with all of you. (And who knows; I may include this - with the gargantuan weights - in the 2 million animation.)
